By popular demand SELVis returned for another workshop at The Chocolate Museum in Brixton on Thursday, 26th October. It was interesting to learn about the history of chocolate and then great fun making and decorating our own chocolate to take home afterwards. There was a lot of chocolate tasting too! Many thanks to Maria for such an enjoyable morning especially as it was her first time leading a workshop for a visually impaired group.
Southwark member Diane told us about her experience,
The visit to the chocolate factory was a wonderful experience. We were all made very welcome, and it was fully inclusive whatever level of sight the group may have had. Maria who led the session was so knowledgeable about how the chocolate is produced, right from how it is grown to the delicious chocolate we all love to eat. The best part of the visit was when we made our own chocolates by hand and even chocolate lollipops. I would recommend this experience to any visually impaired group we all had a wonderful time and left in high spirits.
